Dean’s Message: Summer 2024

With commencement recently in our rearview mirror, it is a wonderful time to reflect as we all take some time to relax and recharge our energies this summer.  As I take a moment to reflect, I am proud to see how the Dyson community of students, alumni, faculty, and staff are embodying the very essence of Opportunitas and succeeding in creating the enriching environments they take up space in, on and off campus, and looking toward the future.

In this issue, you will read about how recent graduates are prepared for their futures, with some pursuing exciting careers and others going on to graduate study. Faculty and staff are enhancing the delivery of our liberal arts programs both on and off campus, partnering with the local communities to develop projects they’ve initiated, which are supported by a Project Pericles grant, or on our campus to enrich the learning environment by creating and facilitating social justice and diversity, equity, and inclusion programming for students.

I wish you a wonderful summer of fun and relaxation, and hope your future looks just as bright and promising as those we’ve shared in this issue.

If you have news you wish to share with the Dyson Community, please contact Angela Nally ’99, ‘06, assistant dean for communications, at anally@pace.edu.

Sincerely,
Tresmaine R. Grimes, PhD
