Pace New York City students were recognized at the 2019 National Model UN conference in New York City. The 22 students representing Nigeria received an Honorable Mention award. Additionally, Matthew Thomas ‘19, Political Science, and Wesley Goodrich ’20, Political Science and Directing, were recognized with an Outstanding Position Paper award.
As reported by Deadline: Acting alumna Ashley Romans ’15, Theater Arts, has been cast in a recurring role on the supernatural fantasy horror drama NOS4A2, based on Joe Hill’s bestselling novel of the same name and premiering June 2 on AMC Premiere. Romans most recently recurred on two Showtime series, Shameless and I’m Dying Up Here.
As reported by Broadway World: Actors Studio Drama School faculty member and alumna Kate T. Billingsley ’14, wrote and starred in the play Barefoot, which received an extended run at the Gene Frankel Theater that ended March 2.
Cuauhtémoc Castillo ’06, History, was recently promoted to vice president at Credit Suisse in Semantic Technology, Analytics and Machine Intelligence.
Thiago Piwowarczyk ’14, Forensic Sciences, is CEO, founder, and principal investigator at New York Art Forensics in Brooklyn, New York. Piwowarczyk’s work was recently featured in a Wired magazine video about the use of forensic science on art forgery detection.
Professor and Chair of Economics NYC Joseph C. Morreale has been awarded the title of Distinguished Professor, the highest honor Pace University bestows on a faculty member, in recognition of a sustained record of extensive, extraordinary research and scholarship, outstanding teaching, and exemplary service to the University, community and the faculty member’s professional field. Morreale has been a professor of economics and public administration at Dyson College and an academic administrator at Pace University for 29 years.
