Gloria Heffernan 81, English, has had her book, What the Gratitude List Told the Bucket List, published by New York Quarterly Books.

Thomas Duffy ’99, English, has completed Social Work, his seventh book.

Professor of English Robert Mundy coauthored Gender, Sexuality, and the Cultural Politics of Men’s Identity: Literacies of Masculinity and coedited Out in the Center: Public Controversies and Private Struggles, which won Outstanding Book from the International Writing Centers Association.

Shirley Acevedo Buontempo ’10, MPA, was awarded an AARP Purpose Prize, which honors individuals who use their life experience to make a better future for all.

Actors Studio Drama School alumnus Danny Gorman ’15, MFA Directing, assistant directed the new musical SCOTLAND, PA at Roundabout Theatre Company, directed by Emmy Award-winning director Lonny Price.

Associate Professor of Chemistry Elmer-Rico E. Mojica has coauthored an entry in the Encyclopedia of Environmental Health Second Edition entitled “Antibiotics Pollution in Soil and Water: Potential Ecological and Human Health Issues” with Hillary Jufer ’19, MS Environmental Science, and Lauren Reilly ’19, ’20, MS in Forensic Science. Mojica also wrote a chapter entitled “CHEMTERTAINMENT: Use of Video Clips from Movies, Television Series and YouTube in Enhancing the Teaching and Learning Experience of an Introductory Chemistry Lecture Class” in Videos in Chemistry Education: Applications of Interactive Tools published by the American Chemical Society.
