Tackling Cancer Treatment Resistance
Through a grant from the National Cancer Institute, Professor of Biology Nancy Krucher, PhD, Anastasiia Vaska ’24, and Michael Ferretti ’24 are exploring how a new cancer drug could help tackle the resistance patients can develop to ongoing treatments.

Alumni News
Olivia Rose Darling, English, has signed a two-book deal with Zaffre, which will publish her debut novel Fear the Flames.
Greg Di Roma ’16, Digital Cinema and Filmmaking, was named a Filmmaker in the Spotlight by Spotlight Documentary Film Awards.
John Ewen ’19, MA Communications and Digital Media, was named to the College Sports Communications 30 Under 30 list.
Kareem Gayle-Fagan ’04, Psychology, was recently promoted to vice president of human resources at Parfums Christian Dior.

Professor of Art Jillian McDonald, MFA, created a video entitled Animals on the Verge, which was featured in an online exhibit at Deluge Contemporary Art in Victoria, British Columbia, and is now on view on the Manhattan Bridge as part of The DUMBO Projection Project, Volume 3.
Professor of Chemistry and Physical Sciences Elmer-Rico E. Mojica, PhD, co-authored a paper with Josephine Farshi ’19, Biochemistry, titled “Characterization and Antioxidant Activities of Various Solvent Extracts from Bee Pollen Samples in the Philippines” in the Philippine Journal of Science.
Clinical Assistant Professor of Art Derek Stroup, MFA, is showing his work in a solo exhibition entitled Radiant Fields at KIPNZ Gallery in Walton, New York, from March 30–April 28.
